The Toronto Small Press Book Fair, winter edition, is hitting U of T’s Hart House (7 Hart House Circle) on December 10th, 11 to 5 PM. Come say hi to the Horse of Operation crew and check out the exciting covey of small press poetry, fiction, graphic novels, comics, zines, mags and more! Lots of neat, handcrafted lit on hand, usually not available anywhere else. We’ll have poetics, dystopia, hockey tape, and a book with a delightfully artful insignia of hair. Sinister or impressively bewitching laurels? You decide. Covert barbershops and painstaking thrills, just in time for the holidays. See you there!
The horse will see you at CANZINE on the 23rd of October,
Toronto-918 Bathurst Centre
918 Bathurst St. 1-7 pm.
We have lots of new stuff coming out, and don’t let yourself leave this website without considering our submission policy. Keep in touch! Have a nice day!
“Zine Dream is an annual small press art fair that is held at the TRANZAC in Toronto, Ontario. Each year features over 50 vendors of self published books, comics, music, zines, hand made crafts, prints & much more!” – laura & jesjit for the Toronto Zine Library
We plan on hawking books at this thing come August 21st between 12 and 5 pm at the TRANZAC (292 Brunswick Ave)! The Toronto Zine Library is an organization of zinesters and librarians. They have a lot of neat stuff on their website so maybe give that a read.
Some of us believe the chapbook is the natural and friendly form for publishing poetry, fiction, and non-fiction.
Come join us and check out this stubborn resister of eBooks and spines!

Torontonians found Horse of Operation’s street team repping hand-bound copies of out-of-print works of genius plus original fiction and poetry as part of The Scream Literary Festival’s unFestival. Thanks to Nick Power and Stuart Ross and the rest of the community for keeping this alive!
